Juventus striker David Trezeguet will miss several weeks of action due to an ankle injury.
Trezeguet suffered a twisted ankle after twenty minutes of play in the first half of the Serie A match against Parma (1-2 win). The Frenchman landed awkwardly after rising up for a challenge and he had to come off.
Results from further medical tests in Turin on Thursday have not offered a sign of optimism. He will certainly miss the Milan match this Sunday too.
A statement on the club's official website reads:
"David Trezeguet underwent further exams this morning at the clinic following the injury sustained against Parma.
"He has a second grade right ankle injury and the prognosis for a complete return is around 40 days."
