Robert Pires has declared that Villarreal are prepared to fight it out for a Europa League berth this season.
 

The Yellow Submarine are currently on 32 points in the La Liga table, six points off the nearest Europa League qualification spot.
 

"We will try to finish the season on top form," he told the club's official website. "The only objective we have remaining is to make sure we play in the Europa League next season."
 

"Last Sunday we played very well in periods, we won and that makes us very confident for the upcoming matches. I'm sure we will play in Europe next season," Pires added.
 

The former France international revealed that Villarreal are already prepared for their next game against Espanyol and insisted that his team are confident of a positive result.
 

"It has been good rest after two days, we played really well on Sunday and now we have the batteries recharged again.
 

"We are improving and regaining a bit of style. It's great for us to keep the ball like we are used to because that is the best way to play," he concluded.
